That’s great news, I had an order in for it, but gave it no chance of arriving!

I’m in Japan at the moment… so I don’t know but it looks like some packages arrived.

Record heaven here… I don’t want to hijack with some of the black gold I’ve found… but I’m pleased.

I don’t think you can post pics here… or if you can, I don’t know how!

I put a couple of videos on my YouTube channel already… I have a small private vinyl club. I have quite a few that I posted back which won’t arrive for a few months that aren’t in the videos.

Discovery of the trip? Record Jungle in Kanazawa. Chaotic but superb.

And the Disk Union stores around Shinjuku in Tokyo were wonderful fun.

    Records I’m most excited about?

early Candi Staton, US first presses
    Hooker n Heat, Japanese first
    Malik, Lafayette Afro Rock Band
The Jimmy Castor Bunch, It’s Just Begun, US first
Hank Mobley - Hank Mobley With Donald Byrd And Lee Morgan, Japanese first
Burning Spear, Resistance - UK first
The Allman Brothers Dreams Box Set
Some rare psych rock US first presses - the Churls, The David,
The Easybeats, Vigil - UK mono
    Some rare Betty Davis
Slayer Hell Awaits, Japanese first press
Toots and the Maytals, In The Dark, Japanese first press

Support your local and save three bucks!
(well, not quite local because you're in Adelaide — but free shipping if you make a purchase over $150!)

Good link. Is that your business?

Decent prices and I like the tour posters. Good stuff.

It's not my business, I'm just a regular there. Greville Records are a bit of an institution in my mind, friendly staff who I often see at gigs around town and they're always up for a yarn about music.

My table suddenly started to sound more transparent, airy with better bass.
    I have a Audio Technica VM540ML cart.
I've had it on for a couple of years. How long does it take for the stylus to wear in?

They say it takes around 50-100 hours to break in a new MC cart.

Have you changed anything in your room? Moved furniture around or added a new couch or something?

Maybe the HummingGuru is making your records sound better?

I recently visited Melbourne and Greville Records was my favourite record store that I visited! I'm from Sydney and I'm so jealous of Melbourne's record store scene. Really liked Dutch Vinyl and Plug records as well. Even Sydney's biggest record store - Red Eye - doesn't hold a candle to these three. Sure it has more records but not the variety e.g. Japanese, audiophile, second-hand.

Even with RSD you have Greville and Discrepancy regularly updating their websites and Discrepancy is providing great updates on Instagram with all their RSD stock - whereas most of the stores in Sydney keep shtum until the night before. HUM is providing some updates on facebook but their RSD stock is small compared to Discrepancy.

Another interesting purchase from the Amazon warehouse -described as very good condition and red vinyl!

Still happy with the purchase for only $20, record not sealed but looks un-played, slight crease on cover and not red vinyl. Worth the money to hear Roky howl though Heroin

I haven't changed anything really. I did move one speaker to get to some records, but I've put it back in same position.
I think it maybe the listening hours and the cart breaking in.
I'm using the HummigGuru all the time. So easy to use. I should sell my other ultrasonic set up and the ProJect VC-S2 vacuum cleaner. I don't think I'll ever use them.

Got the email that the LZ1 box set is cancelled

"Due to a lack of availability, we will not be able to obtain the following item from your order. We've canceled the item and apologize for the inconvenience. "

Despite it being readily availble from Amazon UK - just not for 21 dollars!
