    Paging Mr. Hoffman ...

Benny Goodman "Good To Go" and Fats Waller "A Handful Of Keys", both 1999 Buddha Records reissues, give the following credits: "Mastered by Steve Hoffman. Master Transfers: Vince Giordano, Mike Panico and Ron Olson. CEDAR Restoration: Paul Brizzi. Sonic Reconstruction: Hsi-Ling Chang." A real dog's breakfast! Who did what, and are you proud of the results?

Steven did the mastering and then everything was No-Noised at BMG.

    (Gomer Pyle voice): "Surprise, surprise"!

I doubt he wants to talk about it..

Very wonderful music though, don't you think?

For sure! John R. T. Davies is my man when it comes to transferring/remastering that stuff ... what a loss! (You can read my testimonial on the thread about his passing.)

That's sad - to ruin Steve's work like that using CEDAR. :(

What in the world is Sonic Reconstruction?
