No the mono PSR&T. Bookends is a different beast altogether.

I just sent an email to AF. They are on vacation until just after New Years. Upon their return they will respond to my email.
I also included a link to this thread in the body of the message.

    Please stand by...

    Will do.

  4. How does the artist Paul Simon, get the final say on albums that are owned by Columbia/CBS/Sony Music?

When Sundazed issued the Byrds and Bob Dylan mono LPs did they get permission from Roger McGuinn and Bob Dylan? One woudn't think so.

I wouldnt hold my breath for a mono of this one. We will be lucky to get a stereo version from some nice sounding tapes that someone can work a little magic with on the voices and not an updated version of the remix. Only really two options here I would think. And as long as it sounds awesome option 1 sounds great to me. Now if it does turn out to be mono and can sound awesome also ( meaning not muddy or thin sounding) then Id be surprised. But I aint holdin my breath. Itll be stereo and hopefully not the remix.

What would be great is to have the stereo version with a couple a' three mono singles as bonus tracks. I cant imagine that not being a seller big time. And maybe not as costly as doing a stereo/mono 2fer.

Hmmmmmm... time to write Marshall?

Why would it be the remix now that it has been established that the stereo masters are fine?

Didnt realize it had. Guess I missed that part. Great news then, thanks Luke.

Still would like a few mono single versions tagged on.

Have there been any bonus tracks on any AF CDs? I know Pet Sounds has one but that was probably just carried over from the DCC version.

  9. SOFT PARADE has bonus tracks.

For Bridge Over Troubled Water, it should be a CD + DVD package, with the CD containing the three known outtakes (Cuba Si, Nixon No, Groundhog and Feuilles-O) and the mono single mixes and the DVD containing the Songs of America TV special and the quad mix of BOTW.

Too bad for us that you aren't in charge of putting together the deluxe BOTW reissue...

Paul Simon owns the publishing rights for his songs. Sony can't reissue or license the material without Simon's approval. He is known to control his catalog with an iron fist.

I thought Groundhog was a Bookends reject.

Sony caved in to Matthew Katz regarding a legal threat about the Moby Grape reissues, and I suspect they would consider Paul Simon more powerful than Matthew Katz.
