    Hi Guys and Gals,

That's because Don didn't have Yoko HO-no messin' things up !

    (sorry)

Back in the early 70's, we were on vacation in Hawaii. Of course we had heard of Don Ho and "Tiny Bubbles," but no self-respecting rocker would dare to even say the name in mixed company. But we got a couple free tickets and went on over to the show. To our utter astonishment, he and the band put on a great show. Lot's of oldies. Great sonics. Lotsa audience interaction. It was a fun show. I did not, however, buy all his LP's.

Don Ho vs. The Beatles - wasn't this one of those Vee Jay albums or something like that?

    Pass the pineapple juice

    I voted for Don.

If the Beatles had covered "Tiny Bubbles", who would have sung lead, Paul or Ringo?

POLL Would you rather slide down a banister full of razor blades or suck a bulldogs nose till his head collapsed?

I wonder if mono copies of the Reprise "Tiny Bubbles" LP will now go for big bucks on eBay?

As my pal Mr. Claus is fond of saying:

    Ho! Ho! Ho!

Ho! Ho! Clearly, more of an influence on music and culture through the turbulent Sixties. A defining moment when he did "Tiny Bubbles" on the Ed Sullivan Show, February '64. I even liked the "Don Is Dead" deal after his album, "Waimea Road," came out. A seminal, stunning performer.

We also have Don to thank for sparking George Harrison's life-long love of the ukulele when George took lessons from The Great Ho in 1965. I guess that would make Don Ho the Fifth Beatle, no?
