    Very interesting set list.

This happens to me a lot when I look for stuff on Google. I find something and I think: "This is exactly what I was looking for!" When I click on it, it's something that I wrote myself (sometimes on this board).

By the way, have you watched the Carl Palmer Band DVD? It's a bit weird to hear instrumental versions of ELP songs with guitar and no keyboards. It's a bit of a cash-in, but it's fun to watch if you're a fan.

Well, after re-checking the set list I think you're right ... the Q & A better be a good one.

Interesting indeed. Though I am shocked that they didn't do "Epitaph" or other Crimson numbers.

I really don't need to hear Rondo again.

And you though that there was Drama backstage at Dancing With the Stars . . . .

BTY.... the no show wouldn't have happened if Carl had been there.... for he would have offered to "force" a peace.... "The Enforcer" I say!

I just received this email from Keithemerson.com:

    KEITH EMERSON NEWS & UPDATES
Those of you at the Annapolis show may have heard that Greg was performing with laryngitis.

This has dramatically worsened overnight to the point where he has no voice and after a visit to a specialist today,is under doctor's orders not to sing again until April 8th, Thursday at the Nokia Theatre in NYC. The doctor's decision was made at 5.00pm. We had hoped that the doctor would be able to provide a solution that would allow Greg to go on but that was not medically possible.

    We apologise.

    p.s.
Keith Emerson tried to go to the Birchmere on behalf of Greg and himself to tell fans face to face and meet with those who were patiently waiting and were on their way, but unfortunately there were legal and security issues which prevented him from doing so.

Naturally both Keith and Greg feel horrible about this turn of events and the Birchmere show has been rescheduled on May 9th.

And the drama continues.....I still don't know what we will see on Friday night. At least the Westbury Theater is nearby.

I gotta say I've been following this thread with interest. You've got a keyboardist recovering from carpel tunnel and a lead singer who has apparently lost his voice, and no supporting musicians. (You've got to admit that the letters to the fans are amusing). What a train wreck. One thing that comes to mind is if this is worse than the Love Beach fiasco? Maybe they should play at Love Beach.

May I ask what are the ticket prices are like?

  25. At the now-defunct Lakewood concert they were $115 (incl handling fees) per ticket in the front sections!
