Steve, hasn't the master tape for the The Band been missing for 30 years?

Looking forward to "Pet Sounds", the DCC being beyond my reach. Forgive my ignorance but are there any other previous occurances where Steve has remastered the same album twice over time? If so where there any noticable differences?

 

Oh cool. So they found it and Steve wll use for the new CD?

 

This is the best news I've heard in a while. I'll definitely be buying Pet Sounds and The Band, and will probably get the other two as well!

I am glad these will be released on CD. I'm going to buy all of them. School's Out is the only Alice Cooper I've ever owned, and I love the other three to pieces (well, not literally).

 

Thanks Steve! I'll definitely go out and buy at least two, maybe three! I just hope these will be redbook CDs, rather than SACDs.

I thought Marshall had abandoned this part of the market (for marketing/licensing reasons).

What happened to make him change?
Maybe the MoFi success has him thinking twice

The only one I might pass on is Pet Sounds (I have the DCC).

How am I gonna afford these and the Blue Note SACDs ? (or more correctly..how do I explain to my wife?)

 

This is why they should add a couple of bonus tracks on Pet Sounds
