Excellent composition and video. The more of Wilson's work I experience, the more I like him.

 

It seems that CDWOW has a listing for a standalone blu-ray version here:

Even if you don't have the setup for surround sound (me & others), since the blu-ray carries a high def stereo mix, it offers another option other than the 2-CD version.

 

I'm buying a blu-ray player just so I can play my special editions of this and the Anesthetize dvds on it!

 

I'm going for the Blu-ray version as soon as it appears at Amazon.

Man I can't wait for this release!! I guess I really have to invest in some kind of BR player
even if it's an external drive for my Macbook.

Would this be a cd and bluray as I can't see this being the deluxe edition with book etc.

2 discs would be the CD issue

 

The reason why I was asking was they also list and couldn't figure out why they have another listing for 2 cd almost twice the price:

this should be the 2 cd for sure.

I see from another post at QQ site that there is a preorder for the BR stand alone from cdwow and cduniverse so amazon etc should have it soon as well.

Amazon has erroneously listed this as blu-ray and DVD-A. It's obvious from the description here (and elsewhere on the internet) that this is the blu-ray version alone.

 

Can someone clarify what is included in the "media book" that Amazon has advertised? DVD-A + CD + other promo materials? I couldn't glom this from the info on the page description. Thanks!

Again at the risk of repeating myself this will be the CD edition (its two discs). The blu ray appears to be separate or in the mega expensive box from Burning Shed.

was hoping for a DVD(A) edition of this but that seems unlikely given what Steven Wilson has said already !! shame

 

Wow ! $17.07 ? Very cool...a LOT better than my usual $100 numbered, limited edition, flame retardent, glow in the dark Super super Deluxe edition. Love ya Steven, but my money tree in the back yard recently died. Now if only EMI would offer the same for Aqualung 40...I'd cancel the Deluxe, and pre-order the Blu Ray.

I am a little apprehensive about this stand alone Blu Ray for 2 reasons though :

1. We all know from experience, Amazon can screw up a product page, and all it's info.

2. There's NO mention of a stand alone Blu Ray on either the Grace For Drowning site, or Burning Shed's site.

Anyone else wish he wouldn't release material so fast, that maybe we'd get some stronger material? I haven't liked the latest stuff from him as much as earlier stuff - it feels like filler to me.
