    Sounds awesome!

I love the whole idea of less shredding and a more expanded musical palette.

Excellent composition and video. The more of Wilson's work I experience, the more I like him.

It seems that CDWOW has a listing for a standalone blu-ray version here:

    http://www.cdwow.us/blu-ray/grace-for-drowning/dp/22729657#bc=94b3

Even if you don't have the setup for surround sound (me & others), since the blu-ray carries a high def stereo mix, it offers another option other than the 2-CD version.

I'm buying a blu-ray player just so I can play my special editions of this and the Anesthetize dvds on it!

I'm going for the Blu-ray version as soon as it appears at Amazon.

WOW just got shivers watching that clip!!

Man I can't wait for this release!! I guess I really have to invest in some kind of BR player
even if it's an external drive for my Macbook.

Again at the risk of repeating myself this will be the CD edition (its two discs). The blu ray appears to be separate or in the mega expensive box from Burning Shed.

was hoping for a DVD(A) edition of this but that seems unlikely given what Steven Wilson has said already !! shame

Wow ! $17.07 ? Very cool...a LOT better than my usual $100 numbered, limited edition, flame retardent, glow in the dark Super super Deluxe edition. Love ya Steven, but my money tree in the back yard recently died.:help: Now if only EMI would offer the same for Aqualung 40...I'd cancel the Deluxe, and pre-order the Blu Ray.

Thanks Townsend, my pre-order is in.

I am a little apprehensive about this stand alone Blu Ray for 2 reasons though :

    1. We all know from experience, Amazon can screw up a product page, and all it's info.

    2. There's NO mention of a stand alone Blu Ray on either the Grace For Drowning site, or Burning Shed's site.

    Hmmm...

    pre-ordered mine from Amazon....

The Blu-Ray Version features the album in hi resolution 5.1 / stereo audio plus 2 bonus tracks, 6 work in progress demo versions & 5 promo videos. Steven Wilson is a twice Grammy-nominated producer, writer and performer, best known as founder and front man of British rock band Porcupine Tree. He has also produced and /or mixed albums for artists as diverse as Swedish metal band Opeth, Norwegian chanteuse Anja Garbarek, and progressive rock institution King Crimson. Porcupine Trees latest album The Incident went top 30 in both the UK and USA.
Grace for Drowning is the second album released under Wilsons own name, and builds on the artistic inroads he forged with 2009s exceptionally well received Insurgentes.
    EXTRA CONTENT

    2 bonus audio tracks

    - Home in Negative

    - Fluid Tap

6 work in progress demo versions

Films for 5 of the album tracks

    Exclusive photo gallery

    Photographs of SW handwritten lyrics

1 Blu-Ray disc in an Amaray case with 16 page booklet

    $17.07, That'll do!

Anyone else wish he wouldn't release material so fast, that maybe we'd get some stronger material? I haven't liked the latest stuff from him as much as earlier stuff - it feels like filler to me.
