Dave Mason CD Two-Fer, with Dave's
2 best Columbia albums on it:
"It's Like You Never Left"
and "Dave Mason". Featuring
radio classics such as "Headkeeper",
"Every Woman", "Baby...Please",
"Show Me Some Affection".
For Audio Fidelity,
Steve is working on a John Lee
Hooker hybrid SACD compilation
called "Boogie Chillen'"
which will use the fabulous 1948-54
Hooker recordings. Featuring the
original versions of Hooker classics
such as "I'm In The Mood,
"Bad Boy", "Hey,
S' The House Rent Boogie"
and many more. Fabulous sound,
Steve sez!
Last, and most certainly
not least! Steve is working on
a limited edition 45 RPM series
of 25 classic jazz and blues albums
for Analogue Productions/Acoustic
Sounds. These will be sold in
a strictly limited edition first-come-first-serve
series of 1000 pieces, with the
first 100 ordered being autographed
by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray.
Featuring classic albums by Bill
Evans/Sonny Rollins/Thelonious
Monk/Art Pepper/Ben Webster/Count

Steve is working on a dual layer
hybrid "Ritchie Valens Greatest
Hits" SACD. Featuring his hits
"La Bamba", "Donna",
"Come On Let's Go", "Ooh,
My Head" and all the other
great Valens songs from the Gold
Star Studios master tapes. Steve
writes: "Ritchie on SACD is
going to cook! Wait and see!"
Also for Audio Fidelity Hybrid
SACD, Steve is working on two classic
jazz titles from 1959/60:
- "Tommy Turrentine Plus
The Max Roach Quintet, Featuring
Stanley Turrentine". Mastered
from the two-track original mixes.
- "A Session With The Sonny
Clark Trio, featuring Sonny Clark/Piano,
Max Roach/Drums & George Duvivier/Bass".
Sonny Clark, was an amazing player
who had such a tragic life. This
will be Steve's first DSD mastering
directly from the THREE-TRACK
SESSION TAPES!
Many outtakes will be included as
well!

Brothers' Best (Original Cadence
Recordings)" dual layer SACD
is in the works, mastered by Steve
from the original master tapes.
This dual layer Audio Fidelity
SACD is slated for release ASAP!
The first three Creedence
Clearwater Revival albums ("Self
Titled", "Bayou Country"
and "Green River") have
just been mastered to dual layer
SACD to be released by Analogue
Productions. Steve is proud of his
mastering work on these SACD's and
thinks you will be quite amazed
at the sound! "Wait until you
hear Susie Q", Steve
says gleefully!

The first Steve Hoffman mastered
SACD's are on their way! First
up, two great albums from Creedence
Clearwater Revival: "Willie And
The Poor Boys" and "Cosmo's Factory".
Each will be dual layered, with
both stereo High-Resolution SACD
and Redbook CD layers. Steve just
got the test pressings back from
Sonopress, Germany, and is delighted
with the way they turned out.
Soon to be released by Analogue
Productions (Acoustic Sounds).
Over 1/2 million visitors and
counting! Lots of links added
to the "site seeing"
section (see right), and also
two new mastering projects added:
A cd of rarities from The Pixies,
and also a continuation of
the Rural Rhythm compilation cd
series titled "Mountain Guitar
Pickin' (24 Bluegrass Instrumental

with: S&P RECORDS. The goal of S&P
Records is to build a tremendous catalog
of CLASSIC Pop, Rock and Jazz titles
by our favorite major artists on 180-gram
Virgin Vinyl LP, stereo and multi-channel
SACD and DVD-A, and 24 Karat Gold
CD. To be nationally distributed by
Ryko Distribution and internationally
