I was gonna ask this in the Frank Sinatra recordings thread, but I think I may go off topic with my questions.

Does anyone have any info on Capitol's mixing console? The only info I've ever found here and in Chuck's book is that it was a custom console of course.

Steve, I know you've used your Ampex for mastering music from that era. Is the Ampex similar to what Capitol had?

*By the way guys, I've only been on this forum for a few months and haven't really made too many posts. Just FYI, I love to know about all this technical stuff about recording equipment and how things were recorded...etc. I know many could care less, but it makes listening to these recordings (especially from the golden age) more enjoyable for me. I've gone through so many old threads! I could read about this stuff for hours! Thanks so much everyone.
