And if you only buy these on SACD like I do, you get breaks for months and months! :targettiphat:

That's what I was referring to of course, and for the record, that misguided thread didn't even start with a question. It just said "we need to talk about distortion on all KG records". Lamesauce.

Yup, several times. I really like the guys there. My only issue is there jazz tends to be a little beat up and they're a little loose with their grading/pricing.

Yup, learned that the hard way once...once. Having said that, one of the co-owners years ago gave me a great deal on a pair of clean OP Miles Prestige releases (Blue Haze and Walkin') at the Arbutus record show.

And, seriously, use a lighted magnifying glass. This is the one I use. It's not currently available or I'd leave the link: [IMG]

Always check out the record and inspect closely. Don’t trust the grading.

Probably a good idea to have a list. Have you been to HR Records in DC?

Actually, in all seriousness, I'd appreciate it if you could. I'll be hitting up Jazz Record Center in NYC this weekend and putting together a want list to make sure I don't just walk in and blank.

That would be the audiophile chamber of horrors for the usual whiners; -"This is a scandal, so far I have returned 16 copies AND IT STILL ISN´T SILENT!!!! and if that wasn't enough; I can clearly hear that this is not AAA, it's digitally mastered"

T-minus until someone creates a thread called "We Need To Talk About How EVERY KG Mastering is Bright Because I, One Person, Say So"

Well if John bonham played jazz it would have a deep bass but he didn’t, a lot of jazz is midbass and up, stand up bass is not a thundering instrument, luckily for me my system leans warm so it doesn’t bother me as much.
