I had a 50th birthday party here for my hubby, decided to do a theme party "Hawian" even made everyone where grass skirts...... cool drinks with little umbrellas arround the pool
so i put a few tunes together of Hawian artits for the party which consited of:

Don Ho, tiny bubbles, couple of other songs by him
Teen Feet- island feeling, Islands in the stream
some other funky Hawian dude playing a little instrument- "Over the rainbow"

    music was pretty good too!

Had to go with Ho! The Beatles never came close to doing a song as good as "Tiny Bubbles." :)

I think this poll should be called a musical hoe-down. :)

BTW I think the little Hawawiaan Dude number can be found on the Finding Forrester soundtrack. "Over the Rainbow / Wonderful World"

Don Ho, best known for "Tiny Bubbles." Pick up either the greatest hits collection or the "Tiny Bubbles" album to hear what the fuss is about.

Woke up this morning, saw this poll and thought I overslept two weeks and woke on April Fool's Day. :D One has to admit though, Don Ho is a big fish in a small pond, er island. And his career outlasted the Beatles' by about a factor of five.

So how long until the gorts ban these rampant "vs." polls? What's next - "The Beatles vs. a Bag of Socks"?

Did anyone eise catch the Brady Bunch return to Hawaii on the Travel Channel? Barry Williams (Greg) fulfilled a lifelong dream to perform on stage with Don Ho. He [Williams] felt short changed during the original filming of the BB episode with Don Ho as it was Mike Lookinland (Bobby) and Susan Olsen (Cindy) who got to appear in the "Ho" scene.

I did. I am a sucker for anything Brady Bunch related. I liked the not-so-subtle dig at Maureen McCormick and Eve Plumb when Barry Williams said the only other obvious cast member missing from the reunion was Robert Reed. I was surprised they even got Cousin Oliver to appear.

That's because, unlike the Beatles, it was impossible for Don Ho to break up.

I wonder what The Beatles doing "Tiny Bubbles" would sound like?
